DUNE MUD WIKI

Welcome

Welcome to the new and improved Dune MUD Website. We're currently in the process of establishing a new community driven Wiki (you're looking at it!). If you have any suggestions or comments related to the wiki, please let us know. Try to sign your suggestions so we know who to talk to for more information.

Please read and understand the text on this front page, register yourself an account (try to use your main Dune character for your username), and jump in.

You may connect to Dune now, using telnet - dune.servint.com, port 6789 - or FMud Flash mud client.

You might also want to check out our Feed.

If you haven't already, please also consider Voting for Dune on TopMudSites. Promoting Dune is beneficial to everyone.

Also take a second to Vote for Dune on the Mud Connector. It requires a simple registration, but is totally free…
– We have a review posted on the Mud Connector that reflects us in a rather negative light, would anyone like to post a nicer one? — orbital 2010/04/08 15:49

A note about Hotmail

There seems to be some issue with registration e-mails not being sent to hotmail addresses. Until we can sort that out, if you register for an account either use a non-hotmail e-mail address or contact an Administrator in-game to set your password manually. — paradox 2010/04/05 23:37

Wiki Rules

Please make sure you review the wiki guidelines and rules

Thank you!

TODO

There are a few areas I'd appreciate player help first and foremost:

  1. The guilds page needs work. The BGW, Atreides, and Fremen guilds have been busy, if you're active in another guild try to model some content after what has been done there. Ghelp files on the wiki have the advantage that you can annotate them in discussion pages with tips/tricks/clarifications.
  2. Dune Universe Info. It's bare bones.
  3. Converting help NEWBIE to add to the getting started section needs completing -Done
  4. Convert help files to wiki pages in Help Files. You can find the raw help files to download here. Use a text editor that can handle Unix files like Notepad++. Mostly complete. Feel free to add any you find missing. Thanks to Luther!
